We all get caught up in the hype of harvesting big bucks, myself included sometimes, but while bowhunting I still get the same satisfaction whether I shoot a doe or a buck. As hunters, especially bowhunters, we really need to be shooting more does to manage our deer herd properly.

Shooting does will result in higher buck to doe ratios, higher quality bucks, and reduced crop destruction. Not to mention it's fun and fills your freezer with tasty venison.

So if you have an unused tag and a nice looking lady happens to walk by, don't pass her up! Taking the shot is as much fun as shooting a big buck.
